There has been an attack on the police team in Siwan. Half a dozen people including the inspector were injured in this. The incident took place in Purani Bazar and Udiyan Tola village of GB Nahar Tarawara police station area. It is being told that some boys of the neighboring village used to pass lewd comments on some girls of a village. They also used to tease them when they protested. A dispute broke out between the two sides over this issue. This dispute escalated in no time. Bricks and stones were thrown from both the sides. Five people were injured in this. Not only this, when the police went to convince these people, they also pelted stones at the police.

Inspector Avinash Kumar was injured in the stone pelting. After this, on the orders of the senior officer, adequate police force was deployed. The rioters fled after seeing the police force. After this, the police raided and arrested six people. Siwan SP Amitesh Kumar said that the police had reached on the information of a fight between two villages. A sub-inspector has been injured in the attack by the villagers. The matter is being investigated. The situation is under control now.

People of one village allege that whenever girls go from one village to another, some boys keep passing lewd comments and teasing them. When the girls came home and complained about this to their family members, they informed the police. Villagers allege that no action was taken by the police. As soon as boys from another village reached this village, the villagers attacked them. Fighting started from both sides. The dispute escalated very quickly. Bricks and stones were thrown from both sides. In this, five people from both sides got injured.
