Drivers and conductors stop the buses of Agra Transport Corporation at their desired dhabas. Now the Transport Corporation will take action against such drivers and conductors. The regional manager has instructed the enforcement team to make a list of such buses. The Transport Corporation has authorized dhabas on every route. Here passengers also eat along with the driver and conductor. The contracted dhaba owner pays a fee to the Transport Corporation for this.
It is alleged that most of the drivers stop the bus at their own Dhabas. Here the Dhaba owners give food to the passengers at arbitrary rates. Since the bus is a long distance bus and does not stop at any other place, the passengers are forced to buy food at high prices.
After receiving continuous complaints, the headquarters has sent a letter to the regional manager and instructed him to take action against such bus drivers and conductors. Regional Manager BP Agarwal said that there are instructions to stop the bus only at the authorized dhabas of the Transport Corporation. Action will be taken against those who do not do so.
Gets commission from Dhaba owner
Transport Corporation officials say that drivers and conductors get commission at the dhabas where they stop the buses. At the contracted dhabas, food and other eatables are sold to passengers at the rates fixed by the corporation. Here they have to pay for their own food as well.
