There is severe heat in Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, the electricity workers are sweating to supply electricity to all the areas and improve the system. Despite all the efforts, local faults are not stopping. However, due to the softening of the weather in some areas, the demand has come down to around 28500 MW.
In view of the complaints received from various places, the Power Corporation management is continuously active. Corporation Chairman Dr. Ashish Goyal has instructed the Managing Directors of all distribution corporations of the state to make arrangements to replace damaged transformers in the shortest possible time. Information about their damage should be immediately given to the officials and arrangements should be made to bring a new transformer from the workshop and install it.
He said that all the personnel engaged in distribution must pick up their phones and give correct information about supply to the consumers. If the public is aware of the actual situation, they will not get angry. The Chairman has also directed that the complaints received on 1912 should be resolved immediately. The Chairman directed the officers of transmission and distribution to work in coordination with each other.
The chairman took detailed information about power supply from the managing directors of Poorvanchal, Paschimanchal, Dakshinchal, Madhyanchal Discom and Kesco in a video conference from Shakti Bhawan on Friday. He instructed them that the officers and personnel should stay in touch with the consumers, media and public representatives during these challenging days and seek their cooperation in maintaining normal power supply. He gave special instructions to ensure smooth power supply in the areas where elections are being held in the state.
He has said that full care should be taken to ensure normal power supply at polling stations. All necessary preparations should be made so that there is no problem. Officers should be available in their respective areas and stay in touch with each other. The chairman has also appealed to the public to cooperate with the electricity personnel engaged in power supply in this scorching heat.
