The initial trends will be of EVMs, not of postal ballots
There will be an additional room for counting postal ballots in all Lok Sabha constituencies. Counting of postal ballots received at home voting and voter facilitation centers will begin at 8 am. Scanning of ETPBS (electronically transmitted postal ballots) received from service voters will also begin at 8 am. Counting of postal ballots will be completed by 1-2 pm.

Women of Raebareli were ahead in voting
Even in Rae Bareli, which is considered the seat of the Gandhi family, women were ahead in voting compared to men. The difference there was 10,655. Sonia Gandhi had won the last election on this seat, while this time Rahul Gandhi is in the fray. Women were ahead in voting in Sultanpur, the seat of Maneka Gandhi. The difference was 15,736. No permission to take out victory procession
The Additional Chief Secretary has said that on Tuesday, counting of votes will take place at a total of 81 places in seven police commissionerates and 68 districts. No one will be allowed to take out a victory procession. The counting places will be monitored by CCTV. A media gallery has also been set up, which will be in-charge of by the information officer, who will take journalists on a tour of the counting hall. The social media team is monitoring misleading news and rumours on social media 24 hours a day. The DGP said that only authorized persons will be allowed entry at the counting centre after checking.

SP President Akhilesh Yadav has said that the Supreme Court, Election Commission and DGP should immediately take cognizance of the fact that apart from Mirzapur, Aligarh, Kannauj, in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, the District Magistrate and the Police Administration are illegally detaining political workers of the opposition in their homes so that they cannot participate in the counting of votes. Such incidents should be stopped immediately and those who have been administratively detained should be released immediately. When all political parties are working peacefully, then the government and administration should also not do any such unethical work which can lead to public anger. It is hoped that such biased DMs and administrative officers will be removed immediately.

A total of 851 candidates are in the fray
A total of 851 candidates are contesting in the Lok Sabha elections, of which 771 are men and 80 are women. The highest number of candidates is 28 in Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency and the lowest number of candidates is 4 in Kaiserganj Lok Sabha constituency. Adequate number of central paramilitary forces have also been deployed to ensure smooth counting of votes.

Election Commission said- Mirzapur DM is not a relative of any candidate
The Election Commission says that the process of opening the route for the counting agents of Mirzapur’s Chunar assembly constituency was done on the instructions of the general observer and police observer to prevent crossing between the assembly Chanbe, the personnel of the RO table and the counting agents of Chunar assembly constituency. Mirzapur’s DM had given this information to the SP candidate of Mirzapur on Sunday itself. Mirzapur’s DM is not a relative of any candidate.

A close eye on those who create disturbance
Strict legal action will be taken against those who create disturbance during the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections today. DGP Prashant Kumar told journalists at Lok Bhawan on Monday that some such inputs have been received in which some people are appealing to gather crowds at the counting place. We are keeping a close watch on such elements. Meanwhile, Additional Chief Secretary Home Deepak Kumar said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, three-tier security arrangements have been made at the counting centers. About 1.25 lakh police officers and employees have been deployed at the counting places.

Counting of votes for 80 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh will take place today. Counting of votes will begin at 8 am. 81 counting centres have been set up in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh for counting of votes. Tight arrangements have been made to capture every activity on CCTV at the counting centres. The commission has also given instructions to make adequate arrangements to protect against heat wave.
