Congress, which is contesting the Lok Sabha elections in alliance with Aam Aadmi Party, is completely confident of winning all the three seats allotted to it. Congress leaders say that unlike the rest of the country, there is no wave in favour of BJP in Delhi. Rather, there is a lot of anger among the people against it due to inflation, unemployment etc. Apart from this, there has been no division of anti-BJP votes. Due to this, the path of BJP in a direct contest is not easy.
Congress leaders say that voters in all three seats in their share have voted in favour of their candidates. Voters of all three areas left their homes in the scorching heat and reached the polling booths to defeat the BJP. They said that even though the election results will come on Tuesday afternoon, the people of Delhi had made it clear by showing enthusiasm towards voting on May 25 that they have faith in the guarantees of the Congress. They completely rejected the exit polls and claimed that the results would be opposite to them.
State Congress President Devendra Yadav has claimed victory not only on the three seats of Congress but also on all four seats of Aam Aadmi Party. He said that the candidates of India Alliance are going to win on all seven seats of Delhi. On the other hand, Congress candidate from North West Delhi Udit Raj has raised questions about the exit polls. He termed the exit polls as fake. He said that estimates are made by going to the ground, but exit polls have been prepared by sitting in air-conditioned rooms.
