A sand trader riding a bike died after being hit by a truck on the bypass located at Banjari in the Nagar police station area of the district. The police took the body into their custody and sent it to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Bablu Tiwari, son of Ramashankar Tiwari, a resident of Ward No. 11 Banjari in the Nagar police station area. Bablu Tiwari has a shop of gravel, sand and hardware in Banjari itself.
The sand businessman was sitting on a parked bike
It is being told that Bablu Tiwari had parked his bike at the bypass turn in Banjari and was sitting on it. Meanwhile, a sand-loaded truck driver was backing his truck, then the truck driver did not see Bablu Tiwari sitting on the bike and ran over him. Due to which he fell on the spot and got badly injured, the local people immediately informed Dial 112 about this. The injured was admitted to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for treatment, but he died during treatment.
The truck driver fled leaving the truck behind
The local people informed the city police station about the accident. After getting the information, the police reached the spot, got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family. As soon as the body reached the door, the family started crying. The deceased’s two sons, one daughter and wife started crying loudly. After this heart-rending incident, an atmosphere of grief prevailed in Banjari Mohalla. The deceased Tiwari was not only a businessman but also an enlightened social worker. He used to participate actively in all the activities of the society.
In this case, city police station in-charge Om Prakash Chauhan said that after this incident, the truck driver fled from the spot, while the truck has been seized by the police. It is being told that the deceased Bablu Tiwari has two sons and a daughter, who have lost their father forever. A sand businessman has died after being hit by a truck. The body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem and further action is being taken.
