Flames rising from animal feed mill

Goods worth lakhs were burnt to ashes due to a short circuit in a cattle feed mill located in the Burman Mill Compound near the Bauhre Wali Devi temple in the Hathras Sadar Kotwali area. There was chaos at the spot. Three fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. The team extinguished the fire after nearly two hours of effort. The fire caused panic in the surrounding area. The heat of the fire remained in the sacks till late night.
Rakesh Kumar Agarwal, son of Maheshchandra Agarwal, resident of Burman Mill Compound, has a cattle feed mill named Mamta Trading Company in the same premises. It manufactures cattle feed like Chunni, Bran etc. Rakesh said that the factory’s machine had broken down on 7 June, so the mill was closed on 8 June. No worker had come to work. A fire suddenly broke out in the closed mill due to a short circuit. The fire took a monstrous form in no time.
Seeing smoke rising from the mill, a crowd gathered at the spot. Smoke engulfed the entire place. Someone informed the mill owner about this. He was shocked on getting the information. The mill owner immediately reached the spot. Meanwhile, on getting the information about the fire, three fire engines reached the spot. After a lot of hard work, the team extinguished the fire. District fire officer RK Vajpayee said that the fire has been extinguished.
