According to a report in the South China Morning Post, a firm in China’s Guangdong province has offered its employees money to lose weight. Many people have earned money by losing weight under this program that was launched last year.

This firm named Insta360 is located in a place called Shenzhen. The firm launched a slimming program early last year. So far 150 people have participated in it and together they have lost a total of 800 kg of weight. For this, a total of Rs 1 crore 12,94,432 has been distributed as a reward by the company to all the employees. This scheme works like a weight loss boot camp. Each camp is for 3 months, in which there are a total of 30 employees. So far 5 such camps have been set up.

A large number of employees have applied for this program, so those people are being selected who are obese. In every camp, members are put in 3 groups, in which two groups of 10 and one group of 5 members are kept. For every half kg lost, the member gets Rs 4,593 but if the weight of any member of their group increases, then no member gets the reward money. Instead, they have to pay a fine of Rs 5700.
