Once again a major railway accident was averted in Bihar. The incident took place on the Jhajha Dadpur main railway line of Jamui district, where the EMU train which was undergoing shunting narrowly escaped a major accident.
The train left the track and landed in the field
In this regard, the railway workers say that the train driver took the EMU train out of the shed for maintenance and shifting. The MEMU reached the halting point between pole number 367/32-67 near Khalasi Mohalla, just one kilometer before the station. But then suddenly the MEMU train moved ahead from the track in which the coach adjacent to the driver got derailed and hung towards the house. At the place where the train derailed and rolled, there was a house built at a depth of about 15 feet. Seeing the train derail, the people living nearby left their houses and started running. Fortunately, the train stopped on empty land, due to which a major accident was averted today.
Accident caused by brake failure
When the people around came to know about the derailment of the coach of the MEMU train, they started creating a ruckus. A young man living in a house adjacent to the railway line said that I was sitting on my roof and saw the train coming and suddenly it went ahead of the railway line and hung. At the same time, the driver of Danapur Division, Adarsh Antash, who was setting the MEMU train, said that the train was number two in the MEMU car shed and after building pressure in the shed, he moved the train forward, then suddenly the brake failed and the train derailed. The driver said that there was only one pressure in it and its brake failed. Here, the news of the derailment of the EMU train reached the officer of the MEMU car shed. After this, the officers and workers of the shed reached the spot and started trying to lift the train.
