Kartik was going to be seen in Dostana 2 being made under Dharma Productions. The shooting of the film had also started but it was stopped midway. After which many reports of a rift between Kartik and Karan came to light. Karan had shared a statement on this. Dharma Productions had shared a statement that we will do the casting of Dostana 2 once again. Kartik Aaryan had maintained silence on all this. Now Kartik has reacted to this.
Kartik Aaryan is busy promoting his film Chandu Champion these days. This film directed by Kabir Khan is going to be released in theatres on 14th June. During the promotion of the film, Kartik talked about Dostana 2 and his rift with Karan.

In an exclusive conversation with Lallantop, Karthik said, “Look, that is a very old matter. Sometimes there is a lot of misunderstanding and sometimes many things go out of proportion and especially when it is written, it sounds something else.” Karthik further said, “I was silent then and I am silent now on those things. I just work 100 percent but whenever any such news comes or any controversy comes, I stay in my shell. I stay calm. I neither get into those things too much nor do I get anything by proving anything.”
Karthik is now ready for Chandu Champion. Talking about working in the film, Karthik said- Working in this film was very relaxing. Playing the character of Muralikant Petkar was difficult but the process was very enjoyable. One rarely gets a chance to work in such a film. I am very happy that I got this project.
