On June 11 at 10 pm, miscreants standing in the underpass on Purdilnagar Road with the intention of looting stopped a constable. Later, seeing the constable in uniform, they fired at him, but he narrowly escaped. After this, they started beating him. When the constable shouted, the villagers ran there and caught one of the fleeing miscreants and handed him over to the police. Later, the police arrested another miscreant.
Head constable Rambaran Singh posted in Kotwali Sikandrarao is a resident of Jasrana Firozabad. According to the police, on 11 June at around 10 pm, he was going towards Purdilnagar on his bike for investigation. As soon as he reached the underpass, five miscreants hiding in the dark surrounded him and started beating him. The head constable has suffered serious injuries due to the beating by the miscreants. His shoulder has also been dislocated.
When the constable raised an alarm, many people gathered. A criminal named Bhola alias Chandraprakash, resident of Kasganj Road, was caught from Sardala Bridge and after beating him, was handed over to the police. Later, his another accomplice Kishan son of Sherpal was caught with a pistol from Etah Road Mandi Samiti. During interrogation, he told the police the names of his other accomplices as well. The police is searching for them too. The head constable has filed a report against Bhola alias Chandraprakash, Kishan, Suraj, Jugunu, Bhura resident of Mohalla Naurangabad East Sikandrarao.
Three of the five accused who attacked head constable Rambaran have a criminal history. Bhola alias Chandraprakash has been to jail for theft and possession of a gun and is currently out on bail.
