In Taj city Agra’s Balkeshwar, one party commented on throwing golgappa plates on the road. This led to a dispute and then a riot. Four people from the same family were injured. When the police arrived on the information, the accused attacked them as well. They beat them up and tore their uniforms.

This incident happened in Kamla Nagar area on Wednesday evening around 7 pm. There is a golgappa cart in front of ITI on Balkeshwar Road. Pradeep Garg, a resident of Karmayogi, Janakpuri Kamla Nagar, was eating golgappas with his wife and sons Arya and Ritesh. Rahul Pratap and Lala alias Rohit of Saadabad Udaina were standing on the same cart. Both live on rent in Kamla Nagar.

Pradeep’s family threw the plate on the road after eating golgappas. Rahul and Lala commented on Pradeep’s family for throwing the plate. When Pradeep protested, both of them started fighting. It is alleged that when Pradeep tried to intervene, both his sons and wife were beaten. Both were drunk. Pradeep’s nose and cheek were badly injured when he was attacked with a rod. His eye was also injured.

Passersby stopped after seeing the family being beaten up. A passerby dialled 112 and informed the police. On receiving the information, PRV van reached the spot. The policemen tried to control Rahul and Lala. It is alleged that both of them attacked the policemen. They tore their uniforms while beating them up. The policemen barely controlled both of them.

On receiving information about the uproar, police from several police stations reached the spot. Both the accused have been arrested. ACP Hariparvat Aditya Kumar said that a case is being registered under serious sections.
