Aligarh SSP has suspended the Sadhu Ashram area incharge sub-inspector. The sub-inspector is accused of demanding a bribe of 17 thousand more after taking three thousand rupees in a complaint of a quarrel. A video of the sub-inspector had surfaced, after which the CO investigated the matter and submitted the report to the SSP.
According to Sanjay Chauhan, a resident of village Chauganpur, about 15 days ago, there was a fight between two parties in the village. One party accused the other party’s son of molestation and filed a complaint with the area in-charge Tahir Hussain, but no action was taken. Meanwhile, the elite people of the village got the two parties to settle the matter. It is alleged that the inspector demanded a bribe of 20 thousand rupees to get a copy of the settlement.
On June 2, at around 2 pm, Inspector Tahir Ahmed came to his factory in Talanagari. People from both the parties were present there. After much pleading, he took a copy of the agreement only after taking three thousand rupees. According to Sanjay Chauhan, now the inspector is pressurizing him to get another 17 thousand rupees or give it from his own pocket.
A video of this case went viral. SSP Sanjeev Suman took cognizance of this and handed over the investigation to CO Atrauli Mohammad Akmal Khan. After investigating, the CO submitted the report to the SSP. On the basis of the report, SSP Sanjeev Suman has suspended the accused inspector.
