He told that earlier his father had a Dhaba for 30 to 40 years. Which later had to be closed due to financial constraints. However, today there is a demand for Kalakand sweet from far and wide. Kalakand is prepared from one quintal of milk in a day.

Further he told that the specialty of this Kalakand is that it tastes amazing. That is why people like to eat it very much. It is prepared by a special and different process. 10 kg of milk is stirred on a fixed flame for one to two hours at a time. After this, 100 grams of sugar is added to 10 kg of milk. After which it is ready. It is prepared by the artisan with art. That is why it is also called Kalakand. After it becomes granular, it is kept in a tray. 2 kg of Kalakand is prepared from 10 kg of milk.

Kishun Saav has been tasting Kalakand for 50 years
The 50-year-old Raja Harsh Kalakand shop was started by Kisoon Saav. He said that he has been serving Kalakand here for the last 50 years. The Kalakand made in the city is prepared with a mixture of paneer and khoya. But the process of preparing it here is different. It is prepared by bringing cow and buffalo milk from nearby villages. Its price is given at Rs 400 per kg.

There is demand even abroad
He further said that the demand for this sweet is even abroad. People here send this Kalakand to their relatives living abroad. The most special thing about it is that Kalakand lasts longer than other sweets. Not only this, the leaders, ministers and MLAs who go to Daltonganj from the capital Ranchi take Kalakand from here. Along with this, celebrities also like to eat Kalakand from here. Most of the people passing by the road definitely taste it.
