The husband absconded after the death of his wife

In Bihar’s Darbhanga’s Simri police station area’s Birdipur village, wife Phoolon Devi (37) was beaten to death for opposing her husband Kailash Sahni’s illicit relationship. On receiving the information, Simri police station sent the body to DMCH for postmortem. An FIR has been registered in this case on the application of the deceased’s father Yoginder Sahni.
In the FIR, the deceased’s father Yoginder Sahni said that he had married his daughter Phoolon Devi to Kailash Sahni, son of Birju Sahni, in Birdipur of Simri police station area 22 years ago. Meanwhile, the two had two sons and a daughter. He said that his son-in-law Kailash Sahni was having an illicit affair with a woman, which Phoolon Devi was constantly opposing.
He told that there was a dispute between the husband and wife on the same issue yesterday. After that the husband beat his wife badly and injured her. After that the family got her admitted to DMCH for treatment, where she died during treatment. The husband of the deceased fled leaving the body behind.
Regarding this matter, Simri police station in-charge Virendra Chaudhary said that as soon as the information was received, the body was sent to DMCH for post-mortem. An FIR has been registered on the application of the deceased’s father Yoginder Sahni. Action will be taken after investigating the matter.
