The incident took place in Nandachak village under Islampur police station area. The deceased has been identified as Jitendra Kumar (32), son of late Vineshwar Gop, a resident of Nandachak village. Jitendra was currently working as a watchman in Islampur police station. On Monday night, the family and colleagues reached Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem of the body.
Suddenly fell in the field
The colleague told that watchman Jitendra Kumar was on duty near the Badi Paithana Mosque of Islampur for the Bakrid festival. After finishing his duty, he returned home and went to the field to freshen up. Where he suddenly fell in the field. His uncle was working in the adjacent field. After this, Jitendra, who was lying unconscious, was admitted to the Islampur PHC with the help of local people. Where the doctor declared him dead.
Family said- he died due to heat stroke
The family claims that Jitendra died due to heat stroke. After the incident, the family members are inconsolable. The village atmosphere became gloomy due to the cries of the family members. Islampur police station chief Sanjeev Kumar said that prima facie, the death is suspected to be due to heat stroke. The body has been taken into custody and sent to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death will be revealed only after the postmortem report arrives. At present, the police has started investigating the entire case.
