A tragic incident has come to light in the Subhash Place area. The factory owner who lived with his handicapped sister died in the house, but his sister who was in the other room could not inform anyone about the incident. Since the door of the house was closed, the maid also knocked on the door in the morning and left, but when the door remained closed in the evening also, the maid informed the neighbors about it. The police and fire brigade personnel reached the spot and broke the door and entered. Everyone was shocked to see the scene inside. The police got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the brother of the deceased who had come from Australia. The police is waiting for the post-mortem report so that the cause of death can be revealed.
The police officer said that on June 16 at 6.37 pm, the police received information that the neighbors were not opening the door. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. The door was locked from inside. There was no response from inside after knocking. The police called the fire brigade and broke the door. On going inside, the police saw that 49-year-old Rishi had died in the bedroom. While his sister 54-year-old Guddan was lying on the bed. Investigation revealed that Guddan is handicapped and she can neither speak nor walk.
Ramesh Chand, the neighbour who gave the information, said that Rishi has a small utensils manufacturing factory in Wazirpur Industrial Area. His wife has been living with her daughter at the ancestral home for the last 15 years. Rishi lived with his disabled sister. He had hired a domestic help to take care of her. The neighbour said that Rishi was with them till 9 pm on Saturday night. After that he returned to his home.
The police informed the deceased’s wife and brother Lal Pawan Singh. They live in Australia. When the brother came to Delhi, the police questioned him. Apart from Rishi’s wife, the neighbors were also questioned. The police handed over Guddan to her brother. On Tuesday, the police got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to her family. The police said that the family has not suspected any foul play. The police is investigating the reasons behind Rishi’s death.
