There has been some relief from the heat in many areas of Bihar. People have heaved a sigh of relief after rain in many areas including Patna, Siwan, Bhojpur, Purnia, Kishanganj, Araria, Supaul, Saharsa, Madhubani, Khagaria, Chapra. Today, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in 19 districts. These districts include Patna, Katihar, East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas. The Meteorological Department said that there may be heavy rain in Saran, Muzaffarpur, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Darbhanga, Supaul, Araria, Purnia and Kishanganj. For this, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert. There are chances of strong winds and thunder at some places in these districts. Its speed is predicted to be between 40 and 50 kilometres per hour.
Know what was the maximum temperature of which district
The weather department believes that hot days are expected in one or two places of Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal in the south-western part and Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jehanabad in the south-central part. During the last 24 hours, 18 districts of the state recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. The names of those districts are as follows. The temperatures were recorded at 41.4 degrees Celsius in Patna, 41.1 in Arwal, 41.2 in Rajgir, 40.8 in Munger, 40.6 in Muzaffarpur, 40.5 in Jamui, 40.4 in Bikramganj, 40.2 in Banka, 42.8 in Aurangabad, 42.5 in Gopalganj, 42.5 in Bhojpur, 42.5 in Buxar, 42.3 in Dehri, 42.2 in Jiradei, 41.8 in Sheikhpur, 41.7 in Gaya, 41.2 in Chhapra and 41.1 in Nawada. Apart from this, the temperature was recorded at 39.0 degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur, 33.4 in Purnia, 37.0 in Balmikinagar, 36.4 in Darbhanga, 33.4 in Supaul, Forbesganj 26.6, Madhubani 36.1, Motihari 38.4, Begusarai 37.8, Katihar 35.7, Araria 28.7 and Bikramganj 25.5 degrees Celsius.
Kishanganj’s Thakurganj received the highest rainfall
During the last 24 hours, heavy rainfall was recorded at one or two places in Kishanganj district of the state and light to moderate rainfall was recorded at one or two places in the remaining parts of the state. The details of rainfall are as follows: Kishanganj district’s Thakurganj 201.6 mm, Kotia 192.4, Teraganch 185.5 mm, Bahadurganj 104.2 mm, Kishanganj urban area 103 mm and Chargadia 70 mm. Severe heat wave was recorded in Chhapra, Sheikhpura, Buxar, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Nawada, Nalanda, Arwal, Siwan, Jamui and Vaishali while heat wave was recorded in Patna, Gaya, Gopalganj, Dehri, Banka and Rohtas. According to today’s numerical model, conditions remain favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some parts of Bihar during the next two to three days. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall is forecast at some places in the north-eastern part of Bihar and at one or two places in the rest of Bihar, accompanied by thunder, lightning and strong winds of 30 to 40 kmph. During the next 24 hours, heat wave is likely in some districts of South West Bihar and Patna, Saran, and hot and humid day in the districts of South Central.
