A serial made him a star at the age of 11
Born in a Gujarati family in Mumbai in 1997, Avika started her career as an actress in 2007 with a small role in ‘Shhh…Koi Hai’. Avika was a junior artist in her first two Bollywood films. In 2008, the show based on child marriage became the most-watched TV show in India and Avika became a star at the age of 11. She worked in the first 500 episodes of the show until 2010, when there was a change in the cast due to a time leap. Avika then appeared in another hit show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ for the next five years.
When bodyguard did dirty act with Avika Gor
Avika did a child marriage in Balika Vadhu and she played the role of Roli in Sasural Simar Ka serial. While playing this character, Avika was only 14 years old and she played the role of a married woman. Recently, Avika took part in an interview during the promotion of her upcoming film ‘Bloody Ishq’. The actress gave an interview to Hauterfly.
In the interview, Avika had revealed that, ‘I remember someone touched me from behind. I looked back and there was only a bodyguard behind me.’ The TV actress said, ‘I remember when I was going to the stage, someone tried to touch me from behind. As soon as I turned back, I remembered that I only saw the bodyguard and no one else. It’s embarrassing. I just looked at him and said, ‘What?’ And he just asked for the measurement. So what do I do after that? So I let it go.
Made OTT debut after taking a break from acting
Despite getting fame, Avika put her career on hold for some time. After this, she made her debut as a lead actress in the Telugu film ‘Uyyala Jampala’ at the age of 16. She acted in several films in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada over the next few years before taking a break to study. Avika soon returned after this and appeared in the TV show ‘Laado’. After this, in the year 2023, the actress made her OTT debut with ‘Vadhuvu’.
