Action Against Vip Culture Continues In Uttar Pradesh.  – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave instructions to end VIP culture, a continuous campaign is being run across the state against red-blue lights, hooter, police colours. The police has achieved considerable success in this campaign which has been running since June 11. The police checked 2,75,472 vehicles in the commissionerate and districts, in which 19,864 vehicles were challaned for unauthorized use of red-blue lights, hooter and police colours and a total fine of Rs 1.03 crore was collected. This action will continue for now.

DGP Prashant Kumar said that as part of the campaign against red-blue lights, hooter, siren, 85,738 vehicles were checked, in which 3900 vehicles were challaned for using them in an unauthorized manner and a fine of Rs 34.86 lakh was collected. Similarly, 1,01,043 vehicles were checked for using police colors on two-wheelers and four-wheelers and 9356 vehicles were challaned, a fine of Rs 45.58 lakh was collected.

Apart from this, 88,691 vehicles with UP Government, Government of India written on them were checked, out of which 6608 vehicles were challaned and a fine of Rs 22.79 lakh was collected. The DGP said that if any government official uses red-blue lights, hooter, siren on his personal vehicles, then action will be taken. This rule will not apply to government and contracted vehicles.
