The desi ghee dal bati of this shop is considered a favorite dish of people from Aligarh as well as those who come from far off places.

Shop owner Nitin Varshney says that our shop is famous by the name of Daauji Walon Ki Daal Baati. This shop is 26 years old. People coming from outside also like Daal Baati very much. The raw material of Daal Baati i.e. all the ingredients are prepared a day before. Every day 150 Baatis are prepared here, which are sold from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Here two Baatis are sold for 70 rupees and one Baati for 40 rupees. This Rajasthani dish is available only at our place in the whole of Aligarh.

How is the amazing Dal Baati made?
Nitin tells that to make Dal Baati, wheat flour and semolina are mixed with Desi Ghee. After this, carom seeds and salt as per taste are added and kneaded in lukewarm water. Now this kneaded dough is kept aside for 30 minutes. After this, they are given the shape of Baati. They are baked in Desi Ghee.
