The capital Delhi gets its water supply from the Yamuna river."s1"> (From Haryana), from river Ganga (From Uttar Pradesh) and Bhakra Nangal (From Punjab) it happens. Year If we talk about a report that came out in 2023, then Delhi gets about 38.9 million gallons, About 25.3 crore gallons and from Bhakra Nangal about 22.1 crore gallons of water was supplied

To put it simply In 2023 Delhi will get total 95.3 crore gallons of water was available. while In 2024 this figure will increase to 96.9 crore gallons.  However, Delhi is still not getting water as per its requirement, This is the reason why Delhi is facing severe water crisis

Tanker mafias also have an impact!

According to a report by NDTV, Tanker mafia illegally pumps water from Munak canal. This canal is the only supplier for Delhi. In a letter to LG, Delhi minister Atishi mentioned the decreasing number of water tankers in the capital. Besides this, Delhi LG Saxena has asked Delhi Police Commissioner to keep a strict vigil on Munak Canal to prevent water theft. . If anyone is caught stealing water, he is to be arrested straight away.

Delhi Jal Board manages waste water in the capital/Sewage collection, is also responsible for treatment and disposal. It supplies water to most parts of the country’s capital.
