Jabalpur: There is a unique rock in Madan Mahal of Jabalpur. Which is no less than a wonder. It is known as Balance Rock. The weight of this rock is in tons. But this rock is resting on just a few inches. The special thing is that even the earthquake tremors of about five Richter scale could not shake this rock. Even today this rock is resting on the same place. Scientists tried to solve this mystery. But the answer is only this, this stone is resting due to the force of gravity.
Actually, granite rocks are famous in Jabalpur city of MP. This rock is also of the same form. This Balance Rock is located near Madan Mahal. Hence, people from all over the country and abroad come to see this Balance Rock. After seeing the Balance Rock, people get scared for 2 minutes and wonder how this can happen. However, some people are scared to even stand near it. They are afraid that this heavy rock may suddenly fall.
There was soil around the rock, then it formed a shape
Senior journalist Jayant Verma said that Balance Rock is a unique wonder in the world. Its history can be seen in the city itself. The word Jabal in Jabalpur is a Persian word, which means stone. Jabalpur city used to be a stone city earlier. There used to be stones all around the city. However, it is also said that sage Jabali did penance in Jabalpur. That is why the city was named Jabalpur. He said that Balance Rock is in granite formation. Earlier there used to be soil all around it. Slowly over time, the soil near the rock got washed away.
Even if many people climb the rock it will not fall
Jayant Verma says that even if many people climb on the Balance Rock, it will not fall. Even in 1997, there was an earthquake of about 5 Richter scale, but even then the earthquake tremors were not able to shake this rock. Balance Rock is a unique type of rock and a wonder in the whole country. Such rocks are rarely found in the whole world.
Earlier it was on private land, there was an attempt to demolish it
He told that a few years ago an attempt was made to break the Balance Rock because the Balance Rock was on private land. Photographer Rajnikanth had also protested against this. Hence Advocate Jayant Verma himself had filed a petition in the High Court. After which the court handed over the land to the Archaeological Department and the Balance Rock was preserved.
