Awdesh Prasad News: Lok Sabha Elections After 2015, Samajwadi Party has emerged as the third largest party in the country, after which SP is excited, in the new parliament also SP President Akhilesh Yadav is seen strengthening his PDA with a new attitude. In such a situation, Awadhesh, who won the election from Ayodhya (Faizabad) seat, is seen with him at every step. Not only this, in the Lok Sabha also he sits on the seat next to Akhilesh Yadav in the first row.

While Azam Khan was once considered to be the closest leader to Akhilesh Yadav, now Awadhesh Prasad seems to be taking his place. This closeness of Awadhesh Prasad to the SP president has become a topic of discussion. There was a time when he had to bear the brunt of being close to Akhilesh Yadav. Not only this, even his son’s ticket was cut.

Akhilesh Yadav’s first reaction on the President’s speech, asked- why are the farmers unhappy?

Closeness with Akhilesh Yadav proved costly
Avdhesh Prasad has been close to Akhilesh Yadav from the very beginning. When the battle for supremacy over the party broke out in the Saifai family, he was seen standing with him. But this closeness to Akhilesh Yadav became a problem for him. This was the time when the rift between Akhilesh Yadav and uncle Shivpal Yadav in SP came out in the open.

When Akhilesh Yadav became the Chief Minister of UP in 2012, his tenure was in the news due to Akhilesh’s tussle with Mulayam Singh’s close associates Shivpal Yadav, Azam Khan and Amar Singh. Before the 2017 elections, Akhilesh Yadav rebelled against his father. He openly came out against these leaders.

There was a war between uncle and nephew
The rift between uncle Shivpal and nephew Akhilesh Yadav started in 2016 when Mukhtar Ansari and Afzal Ansari wanted to merge their party Qaumi Ekta Dal with SP. But Akhilesh Yadav opposed this, which angered Shivpal Yadav. After this, the distance between the two kept increasing and Akhilesh removed Shivpal’s close secretary Deepak Singhal from the post. He complained about this to Mulayam Singh Yadav.

When the matter reached Mulayam Singh, he took action and removed Akhilesh Yadav from the post of state president of the party and gave this responsibility to Shivpal Yadav. Meanwhile, angry Akhilesh Yadav snatched important ministries like PWD, irrigation from Shivpal Yadav and gave it to Awadhesh Prasad. The effect of this dispute was seen even on the ticket distribution in the 2017 elections.

Shivpal Yadav had cut the ticket
Akhilesh Yadav made Ajit Prasad, son of his close aide Awadhesh Prasad, a candidate from Jagdishpur assembly seat of Amethi. Awadhesh had been working hard in this area for two months. But, Shivpal cut his son’s ticket. After his son’s ticket was cut, Awadhesh Prasad was disappointed and he approached Mulayam Singh Yadav, after his intervention Ajit Prasad was given ticket from Jagdishpur.

However, even after this the turmoil in SP did not stop. On 30 December Mulayam Singh Yadav expelled Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Ram Gopal Yadav from the party for six years. In response to this, Ram Gopal Yadav called a special session of the party in which Akhilesh Yadav was made the party president in place of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Shivpal Yadav was also removed from the post of state president.
