The heavy rain in Jehanabad on Sunday has made the weather pleasant. The farmers are happy due to the heavy rain that has been going on for hours. The same rain has become a cause of great trouble for the public. The entire city has become waterlogged due to the rain. All the roads of the city have become submerged and muddy. This rain has exposed all the claims of the city council. Not only this, the areas from Sadar Hospital to Raja Bazar railway underpass of the city have turned into lakes due to the rain.

According to the information, a tractor and a car got stuck in the water due to more than five feet of water filling up in the Raja Bazar railway underpass of the city. However, the local people somehow managed to rescue the car rider first and then the stuck car. Umakant Singh, a passerby who was rescued from the car stuck in the water, accused the district administration of negligence.

He said that the district administration should have drained out the water accumulated in the railway underpass. Or else, road breakers should have been installed. But the careless administration did not do anything like this. When we were passing through this road, we thought that there would be some water and were crossing the car. But due to five to six feet of water, the car got stuck in the water and it got filled with water. We were taken out with the help of local people.

At the same time, local people cursed the Municipal Council and said that there is more or less water here throughout the year. But due to the rain since morning, more than five feet of water has accumulated, which is causing problems in commuting. Due to excessive water, two vehicles got stuck in the railway underpass, which were somehow taken out.

Here, Executive Officer of Jehanabad Nagar Parishad Kunal Kishore said that due to heavy rain this morning, there was waterlogging in the railway underpass. Water is being removed from there with the help of motor pump and all the water will be removed within an hour.
