JD Majethia Struggle: You must remember the comedy show Khichdi? All the characters of this show were one better than the other. After the show became a hit, its movie was also released and it entertained people a lot. An actor of this show who brought smiles on everyone’s face had gone bankrupt. He has recently told his story. This actor of Khichdi is none other than Himanshu aka JD Majethia. Yes, JD’s company had sunk some time ago but now the actor has made a comeback. JD Majethia is an actor as well as a producer. In 2013, he had a lot of debt which he has now revealed.
JD Majethia has made many serials. Some of them proved to be hits while some were flops but he never gave up. He always kept working but due to one person’s mistake he became bankrupt.
Mistake in accounts
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, JD said- I may have many examples of failure in terms of shows but the failure with my company happened in 2013. At that time we had five shows running. At that time there was a person in our accounts team who misled us. I was also not mature enough then to understand things.
The company went into loss
JD further said- I used to work hard and pay everyone’s fees on time but that person made a mistake and we incurred losses. I could not understand anything at that time. We had lost all our money, we were in losses and we were also in debt. After that, we started picking ourselves up piece by piece and stood on our feet. This bad time did not last more than 6 months.
Created a new show
JD said- I started a new show at that time with a budget of Rs 75,000. The name of this show was Main Sagar. There were many writers in this show, so all the money was spent. I used to coordinate many. This helped me in creating Waghley’s world. God taught me a lot at that time.
Let us tell you that apart from Khichdi, JD has worked in many shows including Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. He was last seen in the film Khichdi 2.
