In East Delhi’s Ghazipur area, two brothers were attacked with a knife by their neighbours when they protested against abusive language. The accused fled from the spot after inflicting multiple stabbings. Both the brothers were taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in an injured condition, where one of the brothers was declared dead. The deceased has been identified as Vicky Soni (30). The younger brother Ricky (27) is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Police have registered a case of murder and attempt to murder and arrested the accused Saraansh (22) and his father Pradeep (58). The knife used in the crime has also been recovered.
During the initial investigation, the police found out that Saransh had a property dispute with his family. He was quarreling with his family on Tuesday night. When Vicky, who lives on the first floor just below Saransh’s building, protested, he was attacked with a knife. Ricky, who went to intervene, was also stabbed. According to the police, Vicky lived with his family on the first floor of B-Block, GD Colony, Ghazipur. Apart from his mother, his family includes sister Palak, wife Monika, two sons and an eight-month-old daughter, younger brother Ricky and his wife Rinki. Monika and Rinki are real sisters. Saransh’s family lives on the second floor of the same building.
Saransh’s family includes father Pradeep, mother Bobby, brother Apurv and other members. Vicky used to sell mobile accessories in the weekly market. On Tuesday late night around 11.30 pm he was having dinner with his family. Meanwhile Saransh started a quarrel at home. He started abusing loudly. When there was a ruckus, Vicky went upstairs to Saransh’s house and asked him not to make a ruckus. He said that there are women in the houses so do not abuse. Saransh and his father got infuriated at this. It is alleged that father Pradeep caught Vicky and Saransh stabbed him several times in the chest and hand with a knife.
Hearing his brother’s shouts, Ricky reached there and he was also attacked with a knife. The accused fled after the incident. The injured were taken to the hospital with the help of PCR, where Vicky was declared dead. Ricky’s treatment is going on. The police registered a case and caught the accused from GD Colony. Pradeep works as a security guard while Saransh is unemployed. On Wednesday, the police handed over Vicky’s body to the family after the post-mortem. The police is trying to find out if the rest of Saransh’s family members are involved in the murder or not. Investigation is being done through CCTV cameras.
