NTA Banned 54 students for 3 years for NEET Exam know when a student is barred from giving exam

NTA Banned 54 NEET Aspirants From Giving Exam For 3 Years: The hearing in the NEET UG case was scheduled in the Supreme Court today, which did not happen and the court has given the next date. Now the petitions filed against NEET UG will be heard on next Thursday i.e. 18th July. Presenting its side in the case, NTA says that the videos of the paper leak are edited. At the same time, the government says that if there is no concrete evidence of irregularities in the exam, then cancelling the exam is not a good option because it will affect a lot of candidates.

Candidates were banned

Meanwhile, NTA has said that the alleged irregularities are being investigated and 54 candidates have been banned from appearing in the NEET exam for three years. Along with this, the results of 81 candidates have been withheld. This has been done on the basis of the recommendation of the committee set up to investigate the irregularities in the exam. However, NTA is still saying that the paper was not leaked.

When is the ban imposed?

Students are banned from any exam when they are found using any kind of unfair means. For this, the rule of NTA is that if any student is found involved in ‘unfair means’ in any exam, action will be taken against him and he can also be banned. This ban is imposed under Unfair Practices (UFM).

A ban has also been imposed on JEE Mains candidates

This year, NTA has also banned 38 JEE Mains candidates from appearing in the exam for three years. They had filled more than one application and appeared in the exam with different application numbers. Their idea was that they would get admission on the basis of the best score. NTA had given information about this by releasing a notice.

Action can be taken even after the examination

NTA has clearly stated that if a candidate is found involved in any kind of wrongful activity, his/her application can be cancelled at any stage, even after the results are declared and counselling is over.

What are unfair means

Filling more than one application, giving wrong information in the application, submitting wrong certificate or mark sheet, submitting false or forged papers, giving wrong information while filling the form, tampering with the admit card or photo, making wrong signature or any such act which comes under the category of unfair means can lead to a ban on the candidate. It is not necessary that a ban is imposed every time, the punishment can also change according to the severity of the mistake.

don’t do wrong thing

Amidst the chaos all around, students are advised not to fall into any wrong ways or shortcuts. Neither do they cheat, nor do they leak the paper, nor do they even think of doing something like getting someone else to take the exam. In many cases, the punishment is very severe, which includes jail and a hefty fine.
