Expansion
The series of collapse and washing away of bridges and culverts is continuing in Bihar. Such news is coming continuously. Another such news is from Aurangabad district of Bihar, where the alternative road (diversion) and culvert built near the under-construction bridge got washed away in the first rain itself. The incident happened near Chatti Bazar in Amba-Dev Road of Dev Block. In the morning, when the people of Chatti Bazar and nearby areas came out of their houses, they saw that the alternative route (diversion) built near the under-construction bridge along with the culvert given below it got washed away in the strong flow of water.
Government money is being misappropriated
District Councilor Gayatri Devi alleged that the contractor is being negligent in the work. Government money is being misappropriated. The diversion and culvert have been washed away due to poor quality of work. Action should be taken against the contractor for this. Social worker Sanjeev Kushwaha said that this is the only road for hundreds of villagers from Amba to Dev and Baluganj to go to Dev, which has been washed away in the first rain itself. Now people will have to face a lot of trouble in commuting in this rainy season.
