CCTV footage of a filmy style double murder in Munger has surfaced. Where on July 13, two bike-borne criminals shot dead property dealers Manjit Mandal and Chandan Kumar near NH-333B Bank Mor in Mufassil police station area. It is being told that property dealers Manjit Mandal and Chandan Kumar were going towards Khagaria in their four-wheeler. Then two people sitting on a bike reached near Bank Mor and opened indiscriminate fire on the car, in which both the people died on the spot. After committing the crime, the criminals fled away.
According to the information received from the police, the police is continuously conducting raids to arrest the criminals. The police is scrutinizing the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area about two kilometers away from the crime scene. Meanwhile, the police saw in a footage that two young men are riding a black bike. The young man driving the bike is wearing a black shirt. While the killer has a handkerchief wrapped around his face. This input is enough for the police to reach the killer.
It is worth mentioning that recce was done near the house of deceased Manjit Mandal and Chandan. Both were being chased by criminals on bikes. Police have recovered 12 shells from the spot. Even after 36 hours of the incident, all the criminals are still out of police’s reach. In this murder case, notorious criminal Pawan Mandal, who has a bounty of 25 thousand rupees on his head, has been made the main accused on the statement of Manjit Mandal’s mother Ganga Devi. Whereas five people including Prince Kumar and Shyam Dev Poddar have been named.
In this regard, Munger SP Syed Imran Masood said that an application has been received from the victim’s side to register a case. The case will be registered after receiving the application. The police is conducting raids to arrest the criminals involved on the basis of CCTV footage. The murder case will be exposed soon.
