When the patient did not get complete relief after the removal of the kidney stone and blood started coming out in his urine, the doctors of Ford Hospital emerged as a savior for him. 43-year-old Pinku Kumar (name changed), a resident of Sipara, had undergone surgery for kidney stone in a hospital in Patna. The kidney stone was removed in the surgery but the kidney got damaged.
Let us tell you that after this, blood was continuously coming out of his urine. Then the patient’s family took him to Ford Hospital and Research Center located on the bypass. Here, a team of experienced cardiologists started his treatment under the supervision of Dr. BB Bharti, a senior cardiologist and member of the executive committee of the Cardiology Society of India. After examination, Dr. Bharti found that the patient had only two options. The first was that his kidney be removed and the second was that his bleeding be stopped. The doctors chose the second option. Although this task was more difficult, but keeping in mind the interest of the patient, the doctors here took this decision.
His operation started in the state-of-the-art Cath Lab of Ford Hospital. The doctors first inserted a catheter through his femoral artery. After this, they inserted a micro catheter and stopped the bleeding with a coil. This was a very difficult procedure, but the team of experienced doctors successfully completed it.
