Let us give you the answers to all these questions.

This is how beneficiaries are identified

Under the PM Awas Yojana, some eligibility criteria have been fixed by the government for the beneficiaries. On the basis of which the beneficiaries are identified. Under the government’s housing scheme, benefits are given to those families who do not have a permanent house. And who are not already taking advantage of any housing scheme run by the central government or the state government.

Only those people can apply under this scheme whose family members are not doing any government job. Along with this, the annual income of the applicant’s family should not be more than 2 lakhs. Only those people whose names are in the 2011 census list can take advantage of this scheme.

How to get benefits?

The Piya Awas Yojana run by the Government of India is run in two formats, one rural and the other urban. Under the Rural Housing Scheme, a house of 25 square meters is built by the government, for which the beneficiaries are given Rs 1,20,000 by the government. If it is a hilly area, then the amount is increased by Rs 10,000 more. Villagers living in hilly areas are given Rs 1,30,000 by the government.

If we talk about the Urban Housing Scheme, then the government provides financial assistance of Rs. 1,50,000 for building a permanent house. Under this, permanent houses are built in urban areas. The government sends this money to the beneficiaries in different installments.
