Pahlaj Nihlani On Govinda Claims Offered Avatar: Actor Govinda had claimed some time ago that he had received an offer to work in James Cameron’s film Avatar in 2009. This revelation shocked everyone, as it is one of the best Hollywood films. During this, many people wondered whether Govinda’s claims were true. During an interview with India TV, the actor claimed that he had turned down the film starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana. Now former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani has reacted to these claims made by Govinda.
Pahlaj Nihalani refutes Govinda’s claims
In a conversation with Friday Talkies, Pahlaj Nihalani reacted to Govinda’s claims and said that he had made a film with Govinda called Avatar. Pahlaj Nihalani shot for 40 minutes for this film and called it one of the best films of that year. However, Nihalani’s Avatar film was shelved. Pahlaj said, ‘I don’t know what came to his mind with the title Avatar, later he is claiming that I am doing the same Hollywood Avatar. The disc in his mind turned and the language went from Hindi to English.’
Govinda mistook his Hindi avatar for Hollywood
Pahlaj Nihalani revealed that Govinda had forgotten that the film was actually his. The actor advised him to stop it and do something else. Pahlaj further said that at that time Govinda had got the rights of a Rajinikanth film directed by Balachander, in which Govinda played a double role. However, when Govinda started shooting for the same film, strange things started happening to him, he started fainting repeatedly.
When Govinda started fainting again and again
Pahlaj also revealed how Govinda tried to complete the film in one schedule, but Pahlaj was shocked when Govinda started fainting repeatedly. Nihalani said that he did not know what kind of almonds Govinda had eaten with tea, due to which he fell ill and started talking nonsense. Some songs and climax shots were still left, but Govinda did not come for the shoot. It is still a mystery what was in those almonds.
This was Govinda’s last film.
Let us tell you that Govinda’s last theatrical release was ‘Rangeela Raja’ directed by Pahlaj Nihalani. The film was released in theaters in 2019, and it was a remake of Rajinikanth’s film ‘Netrikann’. Rangeela Raja received very bad reviews.
