Once while revealing about herself in Indian Idol Season 13, Dolly Jain had told that when she got married, her mother-in-law asked her to wear only saree. But she never liked wearing saree. Before marriage, she always wore western dress. But after marriage, her mother-in-law had put a condition in front of her. Because of which she had to always wear saree. Then what, Dolly made her hatred her profession and today she is earning lakhs from this work.
Mother-in-law had placed a condition before marriage
She said that she started the profession of draping sarees on the advice of famous Bollywood actress Sridevi and today she is the favorite of top Bollywood actresses and even Neeta Ambani for draping sarees. Dolly said that initially it took her 45 minutes to 1 hour to wear a saree. She had to get up early in the morning to wear a saree at her in-laws’ house. She thought that one day she would convince her mother-in-law to wear a kurta, but she lost in front of her mother-in-law. After this, she started wearing so many sarees everyday that she fell in love with sarees.
After this, Dolly Jain became so perfect in draping sarees that today she is earning lakhs from this work. Initially, when she started working professionally on this thing, she got 250 rupees for the first time. But today Dolly charges 25 thousand to two lakh rupees for draping a saree. Dolly’s client list includes names from Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif to Rekha, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit, Sonam Kapoor. Recently, Dolly Jain draped the sarees of the Ambani ladies in every function of Mukesh Ambani’s younger son Anant Ambani’s wedding.
