Indian Box Office Report Card 2024: 6 months of the year 2024 have passed and in this duration many films were released one after the other. Some films managed to earn a lot at the box office while some failed. However, now in 6 months, the earnings of Indian films have crossed the figure of 5000 crores. The film that contributed the most in achieving this achievement is Prabhas’ pan India film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.

According to Ormax Media, June is leading in terms of box office collection from January till now. With the release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, the film has earned a total of Rs 1200 crore at the box office this month. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has contributed 15 percent to the total collection of Rs 5,015 crore by films.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is on top
The collection of 2024 is 3% more than that of 2023. Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is the highest grossing film in the first half of 2024. The list of strong collections at the Indian box office includes Hindi as well as Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam as well as a Hollywood film.

From ‘Fighter’ to ‘Manjummel Boys’ included in the list
Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ is at number two in the list of films that earned the most in the first six months of 2024. It has earned Rs 243 crore in India. ‘Hanuman’ is at number three with 240 crores, ‘Shaitan’ is at number four with 178 crores and ‘Manjummel Boys’ is at number five with 170 crores.

Hollywood film also dominated
Mahesh Babu’s film ‘Guntur Karam’ is at the sixth position with a collection of 142 crores. Whereas Hollywood film ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ is at the seventh position with a collection of 136 crores. ‘Munjya’ is at the eighth position with 121 crores, ‘Aadujeevitham’ is at the ninth position with 104 crores and ‘Aavesham’ is at the tenth position with a collection of 101 crores.
