That is why the Government of India runs special schemes for these people. In the year 2019, Prime Minister Modi started the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana. Under this scheme, the beneficiaries are given a pension of Rs 3000 every month by the government after the age of 60 years. These people can apply
Under the scheme, landless agricultural labourers, rickshaw pullers, handcart pullers, tea sellers, tailors, cobbler, any other person doing such work in other people’s houses can take benefit in this scheme. The age of the applicant for the scheme should be between 18 years to 40 years.
These people will not get benefits
Under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan Dhan Yojana run by the Government of India, those people cannot apply who are not connected with the Employees Provident Fund i.e. EPF. Along with this, any employee who does not avail the benefits of NPS and ESIC cannot apply in this scheme. To apply in the scheme, the monthly income of the applicant should not be more than Rs 15000.

To apply under the Pradhan Mantri Shramjeevi Maandhan Yojana, the applicant must have some documents. These include Aadhaar card and any identity card issued by the government. Bank account passbook and a passport size photo are also required. With all these documents, the applicant can go to any nearest Common Service Center and open his account under the Pradhan Mantri Shramjeevi Yojana.
