Apart from this, the company has also created an internal code named V68 for this product. Whenever Apple launches a foldable phone, it will compete directly with Samsung’s foldable and flip phones. To give a new experience to the users, Samsung launched the first phone in the foldable segment in 2019. Since then, the trend of foldable and flip phones has started increasing rapidly.

According to a Counterpoint Research report, the global foldable smartphone market grew 49% in the first quarter compared to a year ago, its highest growth rate in six quarters, with Huawei overtaking Samsung for the first time to take the top spot.
