In Model Town area, a man shot his seven-year-old daughter dead. The deceased has been identified as Gunnu. To escape from the police, the accused hurriedly took the body of his daughter to Wazirbad and buried it. After getting information from the informer, the police started investigation and registered a case of murder against the accused and arrested him.

The accused has been identified as Deepak. During interrogation, the accused has told that he was cleaning the illegal pistol. During this time, the shot was fired. The bullet hit his daughter Gunnu who was watching TV. He took her to a nearby clinic, where she was declared dead. He came home with the body and then buried it in Wazirpur area. Police have recovered the pistol and cartridges from the possession of the accused. On Wednesday, the police exhumed the buried body, got it post-mortem done and then handed it over to the family members. The police officer says that those who helped the accused in this case are being identified.
Police officer said that Model Town police station received information from an informer on Wednesday that Deepak, a resident of Rajpur village, had shot his seven-year-old daughter dead. On receiving the information, Model Town police station reached Deepak’s house. Initially, the family denied the incident, but the truth came out when they were questioned about his seven-year-old daughter Gunnu. Police called the crime and forensic team to the spot. The team recovered many evidences from the room. After that, the police took Deepak into custody.
On his information, police recovered the buried body of the girl from near Wazirabad Yamuna river and sent it for postmortem. Police said that Gunnu had a bullet injury on his head. Police said that Deepak works as a delivery boy in a courier company. Two cases of attempt to murder and assault are already registered against the accused. Police is investigating the matter.
