Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election 2024: Nationalist Congress Party (SP) leader Jayant Patil said on Thursday (July 25) that there is no question of an alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party led by Ajit Pawar. Jayant Patil said that the Sharad Pawar-led party should not form an alliance with the recent Congress leaders. Lok Sabha Elections It received tremendous support from the people. Due to this, it won eight out of the 10 seats it contested under the Maha Vikas Aghadi.
He further said that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s NCP won only from Raigad, while it lost the battle of prestige in Baramati and Shirur. Jayant Patil said that “NCP has split into two parties. Both have their own election symbols. There is no question of alliance between the two.”
What did Jayant Patil say about Fadnavis?
When asked about the allegations levelled by his party colleague and former state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh against Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Jayant Patil said that the senior BJP leader should not indulge in such politics.
Deshmukh had alleged that Devendra Fadnavis had tried to pressure him to sign false affidavits against Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) leaders Uddhav Thackeray and Anil Parab and undivided NCP leader Ajit Pawar.
In fact, in the last few days, such developments have come to light which suggest that Ajit Pawar is trying to get in touch with his uncle Sharad Pawar. These speculations gained further strength when Chhagan Bhujbal went to meet Sharad Pawar. Later, Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra also reached Sharad Pawar’s house, but now Patil’s statement has made it clear that the Pawar family is not uniting politically.
