Janhvi Kapoor On Sridevi: Janhvi Kapoor is the elder daughter of famous film maker Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi. The ‘Bawal’ actress was very close to her mother Sridevi. Janhvi’s mother Sridevi died after she fainted due to ‘accidental drowning’ in a bathtub during a family function at a hotel in Dubai. In the interview, Janhvi also revealed that her father Boney Kapoor supported her mother Sridevi a lot. The Dhadak actress revealed that her mother Sridevi was very conservative. She said, “She left her career when I was born. She did not want to work on her own. Because she thought, ‘I worked for so many years. In fact, it was Papa who used to say, ‘The children have grown up now and you get a lot of happiness from work.
I would stay with him during school. I would schedule summer vacations. If you want to do this film, please say we will all come’, he was very encouraging. It was never like, don’t eat before I eat. It was never like that, but mother was very conservative and so father had to pretend like that.”
