13 Kanwariyas were seriously injured in a horrific road accident in Saran on Monday morning. The condition of four people including a woman is critical. The incident took place near Moti Chhapra village under Sahajitpur police station area of Chhapra Salempur National Highway No. 531. There was chaos after the collision with a tree on the roadside. After this, all the injured were admitted to Baniyapur Referral Hospital by the villagers for treatment. In view of the serious condition of eight Kanwariyas, they have been referred to Sadar Hospital. The condition of a woman and the driver remains very critical. All the Kanwariyas are residents of different villages of Andar police station area of Siwan. All were returning after performing Jalabhishek from Deoghar. During this time the accident happened.

Godavari Devi, a relative of the injured woman, said that after offering water at Deoghar on Sunday, everyone was going to their home (Andar area of Siwan). On the way, the driver blinked. Due to which the vehicle went out of control and collided with the roadside. All the people in the vehicle were injured. The condition of three women is critical. The seriously injured women are said to be Godavari Devi of Jamalpur village of Andar, Girja Devi and Janaki Devi of Bhavrajpur village. The condition of the driver Madan Baitha is said to be critical.
