Illegal property worth Rs 87.09 lakh of former Marketing Officer (Food Supply and Consumers Protection) Bhola Giri of Lalganj in Vaishali district and his wife Sandhya Giri will be confiscated. This order has been given by the court of Special Judge of Authorized Officer cum Monitoring, Brijesh Kumar Pathak of Patna. According to the order, he and his wife have to hand over the marked property to the DM within a month. If this is not done, after a month the DM will confiscate the property under civil procedure.

Know which property will be confiscated
In this regard, Special Public Prosecutor Rajesh Kumar says that the application for confiscation of property was filed in the special court on July 17, 2019. While marking the property from January 6, 1992 to March 11, 2016, it was found that movable and immovable property worth Rs 87.09 lakh was illegally acquired in the name of accused Bhola Giri and his wife Sandhya Giri. The properties which the court ordered to be confiscated include two shops in Pandey Commercial Complex, three plants in Bihta, flat in Ghaziabad, Rs 80 thousand cash, seven NSCs of Rs 20,000, and five TDRs of Rs 21 lakh, deposits in the bank.
The case was registered in 2016
In this regard, Special Public Prosecutor Rajesh Kumar says that the Vigilance Department had registered a case against both of them for having assets disproportionate to their income on March 10, 2016. An application was filed in the light of this case, after which the court has issued an order to confiscate their property.
