Why did the Delhi coaching incident happen, who is responsible for the death of 3 UPSC students? Divyakirti replied after being trolled

Three UPSC students died due to waterlogging in the basement of Rao IAS Coaching Center in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi due to heavy rains. UPSC students are continuously protesting. Not only this, questions are also being raised on the silence of famous teachers Dr. Vikas Divyakirti and Avadh Ojha on this incident. After being trolled on social media, Vikas Divyakirti has now given his answer on this incident.

In an interview given to news agency ANI, when famous teacher Dr. Vikas Divyakirti was asked who is responsible for the death of these children, Divyakirti said, I avoid putting all the blame on one person. Like social media is putting it on me. If you want to put it on someone, you can do so. But I will not do it.

Lack of coordination among agencies- Divyakirti

He said, whose fault is it? I think one shortcoming is that there is a lack of coordination between different laws and different agencies. Everyone’s intentions are right. If there was coordination, this incident would not have happened.

Divyakeerti said, a proposal came up in the meeting today, to which LG sahab immediately said yes. We said that you should form a committee where we all put forward our views, after that whatever order you give, whatever rules you make. We will start following it in 10-15 days. The coaching centre which does not follow it should be closed.

What kind of water is filled in the basement?

Vikas Divyakirti said, if responsibility for this incident has to be fixed, then I think the first problem is lack of coordination. The second problem is definitely corruption. If you see the video of that day, I am surprised to see that the road is filled with water. The level of the basement is exactly equal to the level of the road. There is a great danger that if the water overflows, the basement below will get filled.

He told, just then a car passed by, I came to know that a panel was placed there to stop the water from entering. The children were sitting in the library. As soon as the jeep passed by fast, water splashed and the panel broke and water went inside. Firstly, the door got closed due to it being biometric. Second, the water was coming down and the children had come out. Then the exhaust fan also broke due to the flow of water. That is why water came inside even faster.

It took only 50 seconds to 1 minute for the water to go from waist-deep to above the head. LG sahab told in the meeting that there are sewer lines which got covered by encroachment in that area.  Someone must have been involved in the encroachment.
