Yes, we are talking about Dayaben i.e. Disha Vakani who became popular from the popular sitcom ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. Disha Vakani was playing the role of Dayaben in the show. But then she went on maternity leave in between and did not return to the show. Disha left the show and is focusing on raising her children.
Disha started her career as a child artist with her father. After this, she studied at Gujarat College and worked in popular plays like Kamal Patel vs Dhamal Patel, Ba Retire Thai Che and Laali Leela. After this, Disha Vakani did many supporting roles in hit films like Devdas and Jodha Akbar with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She also played the role of a maid in Priyanka Chopra’s film Love Story 2050.

However, the actress later left Bollywood after a while to join TV and became a part of several TV shows like ‘Khichdi’, Hero – Bhakti Hi Shakti Hai and Aahat. Though she worked in several TV shows, she rose to stardom with the role of Daya in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. The show made her a star and a household name.
After being a part of ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ for 11 years, the actress left the show at the peak of her career to focus on her family and children and has not returned to TV since then. Let us tell you that Disha Vakani married Mumbai-based chartered accountant Mayur Padia on 24 November 2015. The couple has two children and Disha is now spending time with her family away from the limelight.
