Two parties came face to face late night on 3rd August in Mohalla Chandaniya of Quarsi, which is infamous for the sale of ganja and other intoxicant products. There was heavy stone pelting from both the sides and there are allegations of firing from both the sides as well. But the police is completely denying the firing. This fight started late at night due to teasing a girl standing at the door. When the police reached the spot after getting the news, the stone pelting continued and the police had to chase away the attackers with lathis. Only then the situation came under control. Some people have been detained from the spot, while three people have been injured. They have been sent to the hospital.
According to the incident, in the wake of complaints of ganja sale in the area, the police had sent one person from the Valmiki community and one from the Nai community to jail recently. After this, people from both sides started suspecting each other of sending their person to jail. Due to this, a situation of tension started developing between the two due to differences. It is alleged that a dispute started again on Saturday on the same issue. During this time, a girl was standing at her door. It is alleged that a young man from the Valmiki community teased her. From there, the dispute increased and there was heavy stone pelting from both sides. According to eyewitnesses, the situation remained out of control for twenty minutes.
Amidst heavy stone pelting, the street of Pachauri Mohalla in front of the street of Valmiki Samaj was completely filled with bricks and stones. There are also allegations of aerial firing from each side. By the time the police got the information, the situation had become very chaotic. On receiving the news, CO III, Inspector and several leopard police forces reached the spot. People were driven into their homes with sticks and the crowd was dispersed. The situation was brought under control after the use of force by the police. During this, the police identified and detained some attackers and also sent three people injured on the spot to Deendayal Hospital. After the strict stand of the police, the entire area fell into silence. Late at night, the police was busy identifying the accused. But no complaint was received from any side.
