Waqf Board Controversy: The central government is preparing to bring the Waqf Board Amendment Bill in the Parliament. The political temperature has started rising over this. AIMIM spokesperson Waris Pathan has raised questions on this bill. He said that the BJP’s intentions are bad. They also hate mosques, namaz and madrasas. That is why BJP, RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad have been targeting the property of the Waqf Board of our Muslims since the beginning. BJP leader Shazia Ilmi has given a befitting reply to this statement of Waris Pathan.
Shazia Ilmi said that the Wakf Act does not benefit the common Muslims. It only benefits those who are a part of it. They have declared more than 77 percent of the entire Delhi as Wakf. This Act needs to be amended. Shazia said that it needs to be changed to stop its autocratic powers. The sooner it is curbed the better it will be.
Modi government will amend the Wakf Board Act
In fact, the NDA government is ready to take a new decision on the long-standing demand to reduce the unlimited powers of the Waqf Board in the country. Meanwhile, the Modi government at the Center is preparing to take an important decision regarding the Waqf Board Act. Through which the aim is to restrict the transfer of properties as ‘Waqf assets’ and to control the extensive powers of the Waqf Board.

The central government may introduce the Wakf Act next week
Sources say the Cabinet on Friday approved around 40 amendments to the Act, with the proposed changes designed to limit the Wakf Board’s power to designate properties as Wakf property. The bill is expected to be introduced in Parliament next week.
