BJP has intensified the demand for resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. BJP has said that the court has declared Kejriwal’s arrest as legal. On moral grounds, there is no justification left for him to remain the Chief Minister. Municipal councilors, senior officials and workers have opened a front under the leadership of the state BJP president regarding this demand. They staged a protest outside Tihar demanding resignation and raised slogans against the Delhi government.
On this occasion, state BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that the High Court has declared Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest as legally valid. Now he has no moral right to remain in office. The people of Delhi are also demanding that he should resign from his post, because the Supreme Court has also given him a hint before this. He is the main mastermind of the liquor scam and on this basis the High Court has rejected his petition.
He should resign, giving up his attachment to his glass palace. The government machinery has completely failed. Even the former education and health ministers are in jail, the ministers and MLAs who are outside have no time for press conferences. Politics is based on how much the sugar level of the Chief Minister increased or decreased. No one is ready to take care of Asha Kiran Home either. Even in the cabinet meeting, a Tughlaqi telephonic order is issued.
Many activists including MCD Leader of Opposition Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh, Deputy Leader Jai Bhagwan Yadav, State office bearers Vinay Rawat, Yogita Singh, Praveen Shankar Kapoor, Ashok Goyal, Virendra Babbar, Aditya Jha, Vikram Mittal, Rekha Gupta, Shikha Rai participated in the organized demonstration.
