A case of murder in a love affair has come to light in Chhapra. The case is of Tarwar Takht Tola of Bheldi police station area, where the body of a 20-year-old youth has been recovered from a well. The news of the body being found spread like wildfire. The local police have recovered the body of the dead youth from the well and started further investigation. The deceased has been identified as Ranjan Raut (20), son of Bharat Raut, a resident of Bardahiya Ramchak village of Marhaura police station area.
He was in love with a girl from a nearby village
Regarding the murder, the deceased’s brother Vijay Raut said that Ranjan was missing from home since 7 pm on Thursday. His family was searching for him. During this time, it was revealed that his brother was having an affair with a girl from Tarwar village of Bheldi police station area, whom he had gone to meet. After this, when he started gathering information with his family, it was found that Ranjan was murdered and his body was thrown into a well. The well is near the house of the girl with whom his brother was having an affair. Then this information was given to the local Bheldi police station. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and with the help of local people, after a lot of effort, the body was taken out of the well. Vijay identified the body as his brother Ranjan Raut. After this, there was a panic among Ranjan’s family. In this case, the police have detained three people from the girlfriend’s house, whom the police is interrogating.
I came home for my sister’s wedding
Ranjan was the younger of two brothers and was working in a private company while living outside. He had stayed here after coming to the village a few days ago for his sister’s wedding. His cousin’s wedding was held in Tarwar village, for which he kept coming and going. During this time, he got acquainted with a girl from there and a love affair began. His family was also aware of the love affair. On the evening of the incident, he had gone to Tarwar from his house to meet the same girl without informing his family. When Ranjan was not at home till late night, his family started looking for him from the night itself but could not get any information. However, later the family got the information that his body was thrown in the well after murder. When the information of the murder of the youth and throwing his body in the well reached Ranjan’s village Ramchak, the discussion among the villagers here intensified. After the information of murder in a love affair came to light, the concern of the villagers has also increased. Some villagers said in a hushed voice that the current rise in cases of honour killing has increased their concern.
