The police arrested the serial psycho killer who murdered women in Shahi and Sheeshgarh areas of Bareilly, UP. The accused Kuldeep Gangwar is a resident of Nawabganj area. He has confessed to killing six women.
During police interrogation it came to light that Kuldeep had started hating women after being tortured by his step mother and his wife marrying another man. This was the reason why he was committing crimes.
SSP Anurag Arya said that 22 teams were deployed by starting Operation Talaash to solve the murders of 11 women. Information was collected from villagers and informers in the area. A sketch of a man’s appearance was made after collecting information from local people including a woman.
After this sketch was made public on August 6, factual information about the accused started coming in. Based on this, Kuldeep, a resident of Bakarganj Samua village of Nawabganj police station, was arrested from Shahi area on Thursday. Kuldeep has two sisters and another relative living in Shahi area. He often used to go to their house and stay there. During interrogation, the accused confessed to six crimes.
