On receiving information about the death of a woman and injuries to dozens of people due to the collapse of two houses in the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Vishisht Parikshetra a few days ago, the State President of the Samajwadi Party Yuva Jan Sabha, Arvind Giri, reached the spot on Saturday and took stock of the situation and met the victims.
He said that the situation in Pakka Mahal, the busiest area of Kashi on the banks of Ganga, has become like Joshimath. Here, not because of nature but because of the continuous harassment of the people of Kashi in the name of development since the construction of the corridor and the negligence of the Municipal Corporation, hundreds of families are living in the shadow of fear.
The leaking sewer amid the paper leak has worsened the condition of the houses in Kashi’s Pakka Mahal. State General Secretary of Samajwadi Party Yuvjan Sabha, Kishan Dixit said that due to sewer overflow in about a dozen localities of Pakka Mahal, the foundation of the houses has started crumbling and cracks have appeared in the walls. Due to which the houses have also started collapsing.
The lives of the people living in the dilapidated building of Pakke Mahal are in danger. But the careless officers of Banaras are not paying any attention to this. After taking stock of the situation, Arvind Giri along with the workers visited and worshipped Baba Vishwanath.
On this occasion, Saju State General Secretary Kishan Dixit, Chandrashekhar Yadav, Shivam Kashyap, District President of Mulayam Singh Youth Brigade Rahul Singh Yadav, Saju State Secretary Ravi Yadav, Saju Metropolitan President Rahul Gupta etc. were present.
